Project Overview
Throughout winter 2022 to early 2023, we worked alongside our long time partner, Bozzuto Construction, and Martin Architectural Group on the Compass at the Grove (College Square) Luxury apartment community in Newark Delaware. This masterfully designed community offers over 15,000 square feet of indoor living, and a massive acre of outdoor amenity space for its residents.
Furthermore, residents of the community enjoy nearby living to handful of major cities Quality Stone Veneer can frequently be seen working in, including Wilmington, Baltimore, and Philadelphia.
We were proud to have the opportunity to work with the project design team to develop a brand-new color for them in one of our very newest Lambris styles. The final product selected; Pearl Segovia. This new color offers a neutral buff to off-white color pallet, pairing perfectly against Segovia’s rough sandstone textures and bold, modern, linear drystack stone faces.
Segovia Clip System™ Example Installation
Segovia, like all other profiles in our Lambris lineup of styles, is uniquely made up of a variety of offsetting preset stone panels. All Lambris styles (Segovia included) include the ability to be installed more like a siding product than a mortar applied manufactured stone, through the use Quality Stone Veneer’s patented Clip System™ Application, when desired. Our galvanized Clip and Screw are used to mechanically fasten the stone panels to the wall with a drill, allowing for a built-in, open, free and clear ¼” drainage space between the wall and stone amidst a heavy hitting list of additional advantages.
Wood-framed, slab-on-grade commercial buildings are the ideal frameworks for the Clip System™, as the wood sheathing allows Clips to be fastened anywhere needed in the stone panel installation, and the drainage plane provides the very best breathability on the market for this wall type, guaranteeing an increased value and longevity in terms of finished product and weather performance.
